-How I act-
Personality: Emily is a sweet little girl caught between the variations of roles within her gender. On one hand she can be a darling little princess, tiara and regal air included... and in the next moment a rambunctious little tomboy with a mission to get as muddy as possible. Regardless, the girl has a heart of gold. She is very afraid of this new world that has settled upon the earth – people sick, dead, or desperate for food and water and medicine. Her greatest fear is that her father will get hurt or be killed. She can’t stand to see people saddened, and therefore will do everything in her power to try and put a smile on their face.
-History-
Your Story Please? Emily Davis was born seven years ago in Canada to Aaron and Megan Davis. It had taken the couple several years to conceive. Although she was a couple of weeks premature, there were no major problems. Ever since she could remember, Emily was surrounded by her parents’ nurturing nature. Her mother did a majority of the basic needs, while her daddy wrote about her, took pictures of her, or – Emily’s favorite: played with her. Aaron eventually felt more comfortable with added responsibilities to even out the workload of caring for a child, but only after extensive reading and observation. While the man had good intentions, he inevitably managed to put Emily’s diaper on her completely backwards.
It was a big to-do when Aaron took his little girl to her first day at kindergarten. He had gained a modest reputation around the college, which of course to Emily meant that her father was positively famous. She once begged, and begged, and begged him to come with her for show and tell. On another occasion, Aaron took Emily to the college with him during a take your child to work for the day event. Megan had insisted, and Aaron thought the poor girl would be bored out of her mind. To the contrary: Emily loved the experience and talking with people she had no idea were still in school – they looked like regular grown-ups to her.
When she and her mother both fell ill, no one in the little family was surprised: germs spread like wildfire, and it always seemed to follow a pattern. First, little Emily would fall sick. Then it would be Megan’s turn. In trying to care for them both, Aaron got a double-whammy of exposure to the illness and was surely to be next. Miraculously, he wasn’t... and he continued to make sure Emily and Megan were both cared for. He would go so far as to spoon-feed his ill little girl. It came as a terrible shock when Aaron told her that her mother had died. Her breathing for a long while was only in the form of short gasps. Aaron dug a grave and put the body into it, then carried Emily outside so she could say good-bye. It was a dark day for the Davis family.
Emily’s condition continues to worsen. She is heartbroken to see her father so worried and sad, and tries to make herself seem better even when she actually feels horrible. One time, she even asked her father if she was going to die... and found out that was entirely the wrong thing to ask. So, she stays quiet and hopes her daddy can find a cure or a doctor that can give her some medicine soon...
